Anyways. I made the most uh-may-zin RICE KRISPIE TREATS.
But it was better than store bought... because it had RAINBOW SPRINKLEZZ!!!
We made it in cooking class. I love that class, obviouslyy ^_^;;
Anyways. On with the pictures.

And THEN! I made a rainbow cake! It tasted like angelfood cake... MMMMMMMM MMMM GEWD!......

Yeah. I basically rooooock. <3

Official Bento Dish #1---tamagoyaki, gohan, and onigiri. ♥

I was bored and depressed last night. I mean, life is basically hard right now... but I'm glad that I am getting over it. :)
But anyways... I cooked for therapy!!! What I did was I made some tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette...)....
AND WAS IT TASTY!!!
I lovered itz. ^-^;;
And the best part was that it was my first time, so I learned a lot. For one, I learned to add only HALF a teaspoon of soy sauce, unlike what my recipe said... See, I'll just tweak it a bit to suit my tastebuds...
But anyways, the recipe can be found HERE!!!
Andd I was super happy. My mom rated it 8 out of 10, and that was only my FIRST TAMAGOYAKI!!!!!! (And next time... it will be an 11 out of 10!!! BWAHAHAH.)
But all cooking mischief aside, I also took pictures. I made some onigiri and regular rice just to fill up my HELLO KITTY BENTO. ^_^

Life.

I went to the arts & crafts fair downtown yesterday. And though I didn't like 99.9% of the art there, I loved 100% of the people. Everyone made it safe to be artistic, creative, eccentric.... And to be yourself.

I loved it.

And for once, random people complimented my outfit continuously. Many people liked it...

OK, here are five stories of the arts fair, and how it affected my life.

1. I met a woman at a booth.
She loved my outfit and complimented me, and I said thank you. This was after I bought one of her rings that were $3.00... she was sooooo kind. And the woman she was with had the best glasses! They had checkered frames. The checks were black and white, and the lenses were circular, like John Lennons.
What I learned from it??? Well, to help others by supporting their art (like me buying her ring), and then they will support yours (my fashion.)

2. I met an amazing musician.
I was walking down the street of booths with my guitar... Yes, I was carrying an acoustic this whole time, because I wanted to play on the sidewalk. But anyways, I went to the side of the road. My friend, Annie, tuned my guitar while a woman looked on. She eventually spoke up, and said she played bluegrass. I liked her immediately. I then told her about how my music teacher taught me blues, though she said blues and bluegrass were completely different. This is when I told her that it didn't matter, because I still learned to appreciate the bluesy sound of a soulful guitar... she liked me a lot, and wanted to play my guitar a bit later, but she was busy and eventually decided not to.
What I learned was that we have more similarities than differences.

3. I met an amazing girl.
Her name was Kuan/Quan/Kwan... she was sooooo beautiful. And she just said hi and was so warm to me. She seemed fascinated by me, somehow. I don't know why... no one has ever showed that much interest in me. But she did. And I took the same interest in her.
She was working for a man who sold clothing. My friend Annie knew him, so therefore Kwan and I were tied together through friends. Kwan talked to me about music and how I should go to open mic at Funk'n'Waffles... (Which I will totally do...)
And then, the most touching, amazing, riveting, lifechanging thing happened...
She exposed the artistic side of herself to me.
I think this is the most vulnerable side, also... But she took a camera out, and took pictures of me... I noticed it a few seconds after she had started clicking, but I just smiled... And she had a pretty good camera! You know, it was a Canon. And it was official, with its straps and lenses... She was a professional photographer!!!
And she was interested.. in me.
I then looked away and acted natural as she clicked away. I wanted to give her some candid-looking shots. So I looked nice and natural and let her make art....
And what I learned from this is that I am special. I can get by, with a little help from my friends... And that they come in all packages. Even cool ones that would normally intimidate me.
Because as long as I'm confident, I can make friends with the coolest of the cool.
And Kwan was just about as cool as they come, in my book!

4. I met an amazing man.
I don't know his name... But let me tell you something. He was SO KIND. I walked into his booth of clothes that he makes. I commented on his art, and he was touched. But before I even COULD comment on the wonderful art & clothing, he commented on my fashion. He said I should go to San Fransisco. The intersection of Haight & Ashbury. Where all the kindred spirits drop acid.
But anyways, he was amazingly kind and he was a freebird. Annie and I talked to him about the earth, o-zone, government, greed.... Everything. I got to know the man. And though he portrayed a concerned soul, a sense of optimism spread throughout the surroundings. He was truly soft.
What I learned was that I am worth the wait of childhood. I should wait until childhood is over. I shouldn't give up.... I should wait, wait, wait... wait until childhood is over and things get better.
And I learned how optimism can save the day.

5. I met an amazing chef.
Her name was Gwen... check out Gwen's Grill or Ruby's Soul Food. Ruby is Gwen's mother........
Gwen was a kind woman who served up the BEST burger I have possibly tasted. So juicy, and hearty.
But the food didn't matter, because it was mainly the conversation we held.
She was so cool and kind. She gave us paper towels to hold our food in as plates. Because it was "old school" as she said it. This was funny.
But the thing is is that she was soooo cool. She constantly talked to us, but she was interesting. Most people can't talk a lot without being boring. But she talked about so many things she was positively captivating.
She seemed to have a lot to say.
She even gave me her card, and that I could play guitar at her new restaurant any time!!!
What I learned from her is that there are amazing opportunities, and that there is a little hope within all of us.

What I learned from all these people???
Life is worth the wait.

Slang Knowledge is Power!

I learned somethin' newww.

I was searching on GOOGLE to see "kawaii neko" but it turns out it means something other than "cute cat."

No. It does NOT mean something dirty. You hentai.

Anyways, I searched for it on the urbandictionary and found outtt:

A kawaii neko is one who comes to japanese class dressed as if he/she were going to an anime convention.

There was more to it, but my computer worked like a monkey on crack. So ohhh wellll.....

I guess that's all I have to share: what "kawaii neko" meant, and that my computer is a drug fiend.

buhbye.

Dreams.

So. True.

I soooo wish I was in NYC right now. The traffic, noise, music, neon... everything. I want to start an art career there, or fashion. I'm split in between... But I know that whatever I wish to do, I can do it!

I am so incredibly bored with life right now. I want some passion for living right about now.

But I'm glad I at least have a sense of humor through all this. Dwindling as it may be.

Sooooooo Yeah.

I might go to NYC this summer though... Wooooot! You're jealous..? Good. Because I'M GOING TO NYCCCC! IM GOING TO NYCCC! *singsong voice*

Heehee.

Anyways, I'll post something uplifting later. ^-^"

Buhbye, kawaii friends.

Awesome Movie--- FACTORY GIRL

OK. So I basically found a reaally awesome movie! I always have been a fan of Andy Warhol's art, but now I've found a movie about the lives behind the scenes...

Enter FACTORY GIRL.

Though seemingly kiss-ass to Warhol and Sedgwick at times, it usually paints the cruel portrait most of the time; Scheming, coniving, and all-around mean!

However, I am almost done watching it. I'll try to report back later on how it was. :)

But I have enjoyed it so far. "So far" meaning 90% of the movie. It took me 3 days so far to get there though, considering I have been crazily busy. Shall I explain?

Well, I might NOT BE GOING TO JAPAN! I swear, no words can express my grief... But it's somewhat okay, because we WILL be going next year, meaning that the American dollar will be worth more when we shop in Tokyo..... YAY FOR AVANT GARDE CLOTHING! ^_^

Hopefully everything turns out great with traveling... But I know it will..... I'm just thinking, "Hey, why not NYC this summer instead of Japan?"

This is a logical thought. Why? Because I live in New York State, Duh. ^_^;;;

But GUESS WHAT! I bought some orange and yellow synthetic hair... I will TOTALLY MAKE IT INTO SOME FAKE HAIR PIECES! To be more specific, though... FAKE DREADLOCKS!

Yayy.

I guess I'm done nowww ^_^;;;

New Obsession: PINKY:ST

The title says it all♥

I am currently in loooove with the Japanese figurines, called Pinky:ST, that have interchangeable outfits. They're heads and hairstyles are even interchangeable!!!

These plastic cuties are quite the money-suck, though. One 10 cm doll can go up to 100 buck-a-roos! And, to me, 100 dollaz is quite the investment.

However, you can buy their typical figures, which cost about 11 dollars. Decent enough.

But anyways, enough with the money-talk... Here's some pictures!!! (And videos I found amusing)...

Kawaaiiiii!

[({{♥}})]

Bento-Licious

Give me a reason to love Japan, And I've probably already thought of it! Currently, I've been quite, er, enamoured with Japanese EVERYTHING... ("enamoured" meaning "obesessed.") Yeahh. And over all, I'm super-psyched THAT I AM GOING TO JAPAN!!!

Soo.... I've been speaking the language like hw a politician lies- seeming to know what they're saying ... When, in fact, they don't.

At times, I say things that don't make sense... But hell, I do that in English, too...

I am also my family's sushi chef. It's official.... I basically frequent the Asian Grocery Store as much as possible, making stops on the way to buy some crochet supplies. I'll talk about crochet later, though, as I tend to rant 'n' rave. ♥

But anyways, I am going to make a bento box soon. For those who aren't cool and are clueless about what the hell a bento is, I shall explain. A bento is a Japanese lunch box. They're very appealing to your eyes.

Intensified lunch boxes. No more superheroes, gimme HELLO KITTY.

Totallyy.

Here's a guide I follow on how to create a bento...

Tales of Stale Sushi...

Basicallyyy...

I made sushi a week ago. And no, I didn't make a normal amount. That makes too much sense.

Instead, I had to make a really large amount. 10 rolls of futomaki, to be specific...

NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM!!!!

Soo.... Since I get flustered/confused easily, I tossed 'em in the toilet... Flushhh.

Yeah. That was about it for today... Except for the fact that I am extremely bored.

OH!! And I'm crocheting a little amigurumi bear now! Kawaii deshou?!

Anyways, Gotta go.

Nihongo o benkyou shimashou!!!

Konnichiwa, Gaijin!
Yeah, I'm going crazy with learning Japanese. I'm planning a vacation this summer full of Adventures in the Land of the Sun. I'm totally psyched that I can learn Japanese as fast as I am. However, I have no friggin' clue if I'm doing it correctly. Teehee.
However, I plan my vacation anyways.

Here are a few key phrases I've learned.
KONNICHIWA. WATASHI WA MEOMI DESU. HELLO. MY NAME IS MEOMI.
WATASHI WA NIHONGO O NARAIMASU, DEMO WATASHI NO TOMODACHI WA WATASHI GA BAKA O KANGAEMASU. I AM LEARNING JAPANESE, BUT MY FRIENDS THINK I'M AN IDIOT.
POCKY GA SUKI DESU, SOSHITE KANKOKU NO KUKKII MO TOTEMO OISHII DESU NE? I LIKE POCKY, AND KOREAN COOKIES ARE VERY YUMMY TOO, AREN'T THEY?

Yeah, fooood. :)
Correct my Japanese if I'm wrong. I'm quite the grammar-murderer sometimes. But whatever.
I'll write a post later. IN PURE JAPANESE!!!!!!!!! ^-^
BY THE WAY Sorry if I offend anyone with my stupidity at learning Japaneseee. :)
